For consumers who have behavioral challenges, and wish to develop greater social and/or vocational development, Build Rehabilitation offers a behavioral day program known as Options. The Options program admits clients from a vast diversity of developmental disabilities, behavior patterns and challenges. Persons served are encouraged to reach their fullest potential through a variety of activities, seminars, trainings, recreational activities, community outings and social functions. Furthermore, Build Options, in coordination with the Build Rehabilitation Work Activity Program,provides consumers the opportunity to gain experience in a working environment through simulated and piece rated work activity training. The Build Options program support staff are trained and certified in PRO-ACT, and CPR/1stAid.Build Options provides a 1:3 staff/client ratio, as well as 1:1 intensive staffing. Program support staff regularly monitor behavior frequency and attempt to replace and/or modify problem behavior patterns. Options program support staff are also available to assist with some of the consumer’s self care needs, including toileting and assistance with medication. Furthermore, the Build Options program support staff are genuinely dedicated to providing exceptional care and instruction to the persons served in a manner, which stimulates a greater awareness of the immense number of community resources and natural supports available. This is part of an overall effort to allow each consumer to reach their fullest potential for social development.The Build Rehabilitation Options program admits consumers, with behavior challenges, over the age of 18, referred by a Regional Center Consumer Service Coordinator. In addition to behavior challenges, The Options program admits and accommodates persons with, but not limited to, all of the following developmental disabilities:
- Mental Retardation
- Learning Disabled
- Autism
- Epilepsy
- Cerebral Palsy
- Attention Deficit Disorder
- Mental or Emotional Disabilities
- Non-Ambulatory/Physically Disabled
- Hearing/Visually Impaired
- Traumatic Brain Injury
